Baggage: Breaking Free

What Kind of Baggage is weighing you down?

The power that baggage has in each of our lives really holds us back in drawing closer to God.  Often times, our personal suitcases are so loaded down with emotions and patterns that have a tremendous impact on our spiritual lives.  We carry these things deep within our hearts and they work to process the circumstances and challenges that we often face in life.  Jesus invites us to lay that baggage down at the cross and find the strength to be that example of overcoming our baggage.  For this reason, He asks the question- have you really taken up your personal Cross? If not, this baggage can stand in our way and weigh us down.  God has something more for us, yet we can never get there until we deal with the baggage in our lives.
